PURPOSE
The purpose of this study was to contribute children's health care and health promotion by surveying the use of visiting nurses in child day care centers.
METHODS
This study is a descriptive study, and the study period covers July to September, 2010. The research subjects were 27 public health center managers, 166 visiting nurses and 137 child care teachers.
RESULTS
Teachers' need of visiting health care services and visiting nurses' work performance of were statistically significantly different. The teachers' need of visiting health care was higher in all areas (health examination, health life practice, infectious disease control, safety accidents and disaster management, emergency measures and linkage, nutrition, parent education) but the visiting nurses had a low level of work performance.
CONCLUSION
Child care teachers are not health professionals for child health care, and therefore they are in need of professional help. Thus, for the current public health centers in need of customized visit health care, new visiting nurses in charge of professional child health care need to be developed. Also, new models need to be developed for visiting nurses and child care teachers through the connection of community child health care.

METHOD
The study surveyed 98 families who were taking care of patients with cancer. This survey was conducted from August 2004 to October 2004 at two general hospitals in Seoul. The data were collected through a self-reporting questionnaire of 22 items. The items were classified into five areas by factor analysis to identify the construct validity. The reliability of the tool was established by Cronbach's alpha as .93 and the data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test and ANOVA.
RESULTS
1) The degree of need for hospice care of the subjects showed a high average of 3.26 (+/-3.7). The need for 'emotional care of patients showed the highest mean (M=3.47), 'management of terminal physical symptoms' (M=3.34), 'control of secondary physical problems' (M=3.26), 'acceptance of the family's difficulty' (M=3.12), 'spiritual care for preparing for death' (M=2.96), respectively. 2) With respect to the demographic characteristics of the subjects, there were statistically significant differences in hospice care needs, according to the onset of diagnosis (F==3.110, p=.030).

The subjects recevied in-depth interviews by the investigators. Each interview took about 40 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes. and each subject received interviews with the range of one to 3 rimes. All interviews were recorded under the permission of the subjects The investigators formed field notes after finishing each interview. According to human developmental age, for the most part(80.1%) is applicable to the entire range of human developmental age. 3. Health maintennancepromotion category take top of health category by the rate of 57.3% and contain 20 sub-categories. 4. News items in the life ethics category, which had six sub-categories, occupied only four percent of the total health related news. News in the growthdevelopment category included two sub categories and occupied 0.6% of the total news items. 5. In disease prevention and disease treatment category, infectious disease(33.2%) showed the highest percentage according to the WHO's international disease classification system. Disease prevention occupied 23.2% and contained eleven sub-categories while disease treatment occupied 14.9% and included ten sub-categories.
